Boo Bamboo!

Boo Bamboo 2There are lots of options out there for natural products to use. There are lots of options out there for ingredients to use in those natural products. However, I’d have to say that never once would I have considered using bamboo in, let’s say, shampoo! My first image of bamboo is a green stalk. My second image is a super soft yarn. Neither of those is very close to a shampoo ingredient! That’s why it’s a good thing I review products rather than make them! Ha!

Boo-hair-kit_CLIPBoo Bamboo has used bamboo extracts in their products! Apparently bamboo extract is the richest known source of natural silica. This adds minerals and proteins that help your hair be stronger and shinier. See – you learn something every day! And once you create one product with bamboo, why stop there? Boo Bamboo now has a generous selection of products! For your hair, there is shampoo and conditioner. Conditioning treatment and shine serum. Curl defining gel, hair spray, and mousse! I was sent the shampoo and conditioner and I must say, I do like it! I don’t need to use a lot (I have long hair, so am used to using a full palm full!) and while it took a bit of getting used to as it doesn’t lather as much as most shampoos, I do like the results. I feel like my hair is softer and while I perhaps haven’t seen a noticeable change in shine – that’s okay – after all, I don’t need those gray hairs shining and blinding people! Haha! I also love the way my hair feels soft and silky after using the conditioner and it also seems to have less tangles!

Then they have products for your babies. I was sent the Baby Wash & Shampoo as well as the Baby Lotion and I like them both. Again, it takes some getting used to the less lather, but I like the light scent of both. My kids smell freshly clean but they don’t smell like they just stepped out of a floral bouquet! You could also check out their diaper cream, baby wipes and massage oil!  I’m a big fan of natural products for using on my babies!

Boo Bamboo

There is also a skin care line produced by Boo Bamboo. You can get face wash, lotion, cream and makeup remover wipes. Lastly, they also make a sunscreen in four varieties. One for the the littles, one for faces, natural one and a lotion one. Methinks I’m going to have to pick up some of the kid’s variety – I hate seeing the ingredient list on most “run-of-the-mill” sunscreens!

Have I mentioned that Boo Bamboo is Canadian!? Yup, yet another good reason to like them! And don’t worry about not being able to find their products. You can use the Store Locator to find a store near you or there are multiple online options, including direct from Boo Bamboo!

I’m also very happy to say that Boo Bamboo is one of our generous companies who have contributed to the prize package for the Share your Hair campaign we have running right now! If you cut your hair for cancer, please send your picture my way and enter to win a great prize! We sure do appreciate companies like Boo Bamboo who help out causes like this!

Check them out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest to keep up with their world! You just never know what you might learn, what sale you might find or what inspiration may be given!
