Fast Paced Fun!!

FastFlip_GameOpen1_Flat_HiResOne of our favorite things to do together is play games! Oftentimes our family nights end up being game nights…and even when us parents don’t have time to play a game it is VERY common to see our kids sitting down to play a game with each other. I love that we’ve been able to pass the love of games onto our kids. 🙂

In the last month we’ve been enjoying two new additions to our game cupboard from Blue Orange Games. First off is Fast Flip – a play-with-your-food, fast-paced matching race that can be played and enjoyed by both kids and adults! It’s amazing how fast those little brains can work in this game…sometimes faster than our adult brains! *wink* This game is fun, exciting, fast…and even a little bit addicting. It comes in a small container so is perfect to pack along on holidays or camping trips. It’s on the list for one of our camping games to take along later this summer! The games from Blue Orange aim to not only be fun, but to also help develop a variety of skills. Fast Flip is a game that develops high visual processing skills, perception, processing speed, focus and attention and even counting skills for younger players. It’s a game that our whole family can play together – even our 4 year old likes to get involved!

Eureka1Now…it’s time to get out our mad science skills! Dr. Eureka was an instant favorite in our home! This game is all about problem solving. Dr. Eureka has some VERY important experiments for you to complete. The game comes with a stack of challenge cards, test tubes and specifically colored balls to help you solve these scientific formulas. You must carefully move your balls (or molecules!) from test to test tube without dropping them. The goal is to end up with the same formula as you have on the challenge card. We had a lot of fun racing against each other to see who could complete 5 challenge cards first without spilling their colorful molecules on the floor. It made for a lot of fun and a lot of laughs!

EurekaDr. Eureka is a game that can be played with friends or it can also be played alone. It helps to build fine motor skills, visual perception, focus and attention and processing speed – and colors for the younger ones too! Our four year old had a fun time trying this game on her own as well. It’s a creative, challenging and incredibly fun game that will certainly be played many more times in our home.

Both of these new games from Blue Orange Games have been perfect for the cooler spring days and will be great for the upcoming lazy summer days too. Blue Orange Games has loads to offer when it comes to good quality games that are fun yet still develop a variety of skills and keep your kids’ brains active, so if you think these sound fun, be sure to take a peek at what else they offer!
