StixBrands! ~Giveaway!

stixbrandslogo312Have you ever been out and about and wished you had lotion in your purse? Or maybe decided to make a spontaneous stop at a play center so your kids could play but then realized they should maybe have some sunscreen? Or have you ever walked into a bathroom and discovered a bit too late that the soap was all gone? Or that they have really icky soap? If you have said yes to any or all of these (I’m in the ALL category!) then I have just the company for you! And yes, they’re a Canadian company! You know I love to promote our Canadian companies!

StixBrands is a company dedicated to making sure you have a Stix handy whenever you need it! And I’d have to admit, I’m kind of loving their products! I don’t carry a large purse – I’ve always hated to have a “suitcase” slung over my shoulder. For one thing, they get way too heavy! For another, after awhile I can’t find *anything* because of the quantity of stuff in there! So I like to stick to small purses. Yes, I know I’m in the minority! Haha! And yes, there’s a downside to having a small purse! I can’t carry a tube of lotion and a tube of sunscreen and a packet of kleenex and a wallet and everything else some others might carry! But with Stix – I can carry more things! Stix are sized at 10 mL, which is small. But that’s the point. They’re small enough (about the size of a Cheesestring! If you don’t have kids, you might not know what I mean – haha!) that I can add all three to my purse and hardly notice a difference in weight or in the space left.

pink-bogoNow let’s talk about the places you go. I really like Tim Horton’s. I’m not a coffee drinker but we enjoy eating there, they have good donuts (when I allow myself one) and the atmosphere is usually pretty good (I love our local one – such a great owner!). However, I have two big beefs with Tim Hortons. 1.) There are only hand dryers in the bathroom. Now, anyone who has children under the age of about 6 will understand the frustration with hand dryers and small kids! Give me paper towels please so that we can exit the facility in less than 30 minutes of arms wet up to the armpits, interminable amounts of time spent helping each child rub their hands together while rubbing yours together while holding each child up to the hand dryer! But I digress. 2.) Their soap! Blech! I’m sorry, but it’s the worst smelling soap out there! Please, please, please, switch to unscented! Or a nice smelling soap! But whoever their supplier is, they’ve gotten a real good deal on selling yucky soap! I cringe whenever I have to use it. And now I don’t. I have my SoapStix and I can happily use it instead! It even comes in two scents – Pink Grapefruit and Lavender. No more stinky soap for me!!

sun-stix-packageJust recently I drove a busload of kids to a track and field meet. Luckily, it was a gorgeous day. Unluckily, that meant the sun was shining brightly. Luckily, I brought along my SunStix! Unluckily, I didn’t reapply it often enough and still got a sunburn. However, it would have been a whole pile worse had I not thought to toss it in my bag! I appreciated the spray feature – it made it easy not to get a big gloppy mess of sunscreen – somehow I tend to always oversqueeze? I think these are great for keeping handy for those times when you didn’t think to bring a bottle of sunscreen but you sure could use some!

Skin StixLastly, they have the SkinStix! Yup, spray on hand lotion! For now there’s just one scent – Orange. But I quite like it. Again, it’s just so handy to have it with me all the time. I tend to have quite dry hands and sometimes I realize when we’re on our way somewhere where I know I’ll be shaking hands with different people that my hands feel more like dragon scales than human skin! Oops! SkinStix to the rescue!

A couple more details about the Stix brand. All of these products are made with natural ingredients – one of the main ones being Extra Virgin Olive Oil! They also include some essential oils and other ingredients like green tea. There aren’t any of those yucky parabens or toxins like that! The other great part is that they sell 250 or 500 mL refills (not available for SunStix just yet)! Yes! I love it when companies sell something like this – a travel item – but then realize that a refill only makes sense! And if you already know you’re going to love this product – they have paired together the refill bottle and the Stix so that you are ready to go for – oh – about 25-50 refills! That should last a few months methinks!

I’m excited about the Stix I’ve received! It’s great portable skin care!  Yes!  Make sure you check them out on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! You just never know what you might learn or find out!

I’m also excited that I have been given the opportunity to give away TWO packages of the three Stix! Two winners will receive one SoapStix, one SunStix and one SkinStix! What a great way try out all three of the products. I also have it on good authority that there will be a package set up on their website where you will be able to purchase a set just like this!
