Enjoy a Little Scratch Art!

Fall is just around the corner…and that means that cool fall days are also going to start appearing any day now! We still enjoy spending lots of time outdoors in the fall, but as the weather cools we do tend to “migrate” ourselves to our warmer indoor houses here in the prairies. 😉 One thing I’ve found with fall is that the change from being outside all summer to having to spend more and more time inside as the weather gets colder and colder can be a bit of an adjustment for the kids. For this reason I like to have some special projects on hand to keep little hands and minds busy.

One of these is the Melissa & Doug Scratch Magic Deluxe Kit from O.co . This kit comes packed full of so much fun that it will easily can keep all 4 of our older children busy for more than one sitting. The Scratch Magic Deluxe Kit comes with enough supplies to create 16 beautiful, unique and colorful works of art.

Scratch art is a project that our family had never tried before – in fact, I hadn’t even heard of it before I discovered it on O.co! It’s the kind of kit that is a little bit different than many other art kits out there and kid (both boys and girls!) are almost certain to enjoy this unique, fun form of art. It is geared for ages 5 and up (though was easiest to do for my 8 & 10 year olds). The Scratch Art itself is very easy to do – and clean-up is just as easy if you put a piece of newspaper under your project.

The Scratch Magic Deluxe Kit is a perfect fall activity. It gets the creative juice flowing, gives little hands something new and fun to keep them busy and in the end you’ll have some stunning artwork to hang up around your home!
