Stephanie Coldwell-Anderson’s Adventurer! ~Giveaway

Last year, Andrea brought you into the know on a Canadian singer-songwriter who was releasing an album called Dreams. Well, just in case you wondered, she hasn’t been sitting around wondering what to do in her spare time since then! Oh no, she’s back and she is releasing a new album in a matter of days!!

Her name is Stephanie Coldwell-Anderson and the new album is called Adventurer. First, a little about Stephanie. Here’s her bio:

Stephanie Coldwell-Anderson, BAM, BM, MMus is a native of Nova Scotia now living in Milton, Ontario, Canada. Since 1997, she has performed for audiences throughout Eastern Canada and England as a soloist and choral singer in many settings which include: solo recitals, musical theatre, opera, oratorio, church services, community fairs, music festivals, weddings and funerals. Though Stephanie specialized as a classically trained lyric soprano, she is a versatile singer who can sing a range of genres from classical/folk , musical theatre, to pop/jazz. In 2012, Stephanie released five classical singles available worldwide.

In late 2013, Stephanie dove into the world of original composition in the genre of children and mixed genre folk-world music. She released her debut children’s EP, Dreams in 2015. This EP currently has airplay on Funky Kids Radio in Australia.

In 2016 with funding from FACTOR, Stephanie has produced her second children’s EP entitled, Adventurer to be released in October 2016. With the creation of her original music, Stephanie hopes to bring a new generation joy through music.

stephanie-dreamsI love that – Stephanie “hopes to bring a new generation joy through music.” We need more joy in this world, folks! More joy, less hating (well, no hating would be fine by me but I’ll go with less for now!) And it’s so true – music can bring so much joy! Our kids are taking piano and violin lessons and I love listening to them and it never ceases to amaze me how much difference there is in a year of music lessons! Our music teachers often have the recitals in senior’s homes – and the joy there is on the face of those seniors to listen to the kids play – it’s priceless!

It makes me so happy that there are talented people around like Stephanie – who not only has a talent for singing, but also for song writing! I know we have many Canadians who are talented, so I’m always happy when some succeed and are able to share their talent with us!

Stephanie’s music is happy. Whether it’s about a Day at the Beach or about Jenna the Adventurer and Ronald the Astronaut, it’s happy music. They are upbeat tunes with happy words. Oh, and beware of catchy tunes, don’t blame me if you start singing the songs when the kids aren’t around!

Make sure you visit Stephanie’s webpage to get a peek at her other work. And check out her YouTube channel as it’s the place to listen to some of her new releases! Her Day at the Beach is beautiful – I love the music video! There’s another sweet one called Hayden’s Journey that your kids or grandkids will enjoy! You can also keep up with Stephanie via Twitter or Facebook.
