DK Discovery Day ~ Money Matters ~ GIVEAWAY!

DK Discovery Day Banner2.2

Math skills and money skills go hand in hand. However, it is probably a lot more fun to count all the money in your piggy bank than it is to count shapes on a worksheet…especially if you piggy bank is on the full side. 😉 That said sometimes the worksheets are necessary to make sure that our kids have are well-grounded when it comes to knowing how to work with money.

Money Made Easy, Grade 3 is the perfect book to help build money skills and to help build kids’ confidence. This particular book is filled with exercises and activities for kids ages 8-9. Leading educational experts helped develop this book, so you can be sure that it will have good quality, useful activities in it!

One of the things that I appreciate about DK Canada’s Money Made Easy book is that it focuses only on Canadian currency. Oftentimes, workbooks we’ve had in the past have had US currency in them, so it’s nice to find a workbook to teach the fundamentals of money in Canada.

Another aspect of this book that is very appealing is that it doesn’t only give you math problem after math problem, but it also focuses on helping kids learn the real-world applications for money and how it is important to be able to know and use these skills in everyday life.

Money Made Easy, Grade 3 is a great supplement to schoolwork, or for us, it’s a great addition to our homeschooling curriculums. It makes learning about money fun – and kids will especially love the whole page of gold star stickers! The book has beneficial repetition and cumulative learning that will help your child become a master of money.

DK Canada is giving one of our readers a copy of Money Made Easy, Grade 3! In order to enter please follow the instructions on the form below. Open to Canada only. Contest ends November 28, 2016.
