Power Up in the New Year!

The new year is here, the resolutions have been made….now it’s time to act on those resolutions, right? πŸ™‚ When it comes to New Year’s resolutions a lot of them include eating healthier or having healthier lifestyles in general. So to help get you on the right track this year, I want to share one of my newest (and very helpful!) books from DK Canada.

However, most of the ideas that I’ve read so far are simple, easy and not very time-consuming. For example…beets. Did you know it’s a super food? It just so happens we’ve got a bunch from our garden this past summer and now I have some new inspiration on how to add this healthy food into our meals. One of the ideas that I would never have thought of – but love – is to add some beet puree into brownies. Unique? Tasty? You bet…and healthy too!

The best vitamins and minerals for our bodies are the ones found in what we eat…so lets eat clean and fill our bodies with the nutritional goodness that comes from super foods this year! It’s a challenge for you and for me…and in the end we’ll be healthier because of it!

  1. I think I could learn a thing or two from this book. I consider a lot of healthy foods to be boring and could use some tips on how to not make them boring!

    This looks like a great book to have, I have no complaints to eating healthier and buying organic, but truthfully it just costs way so much more, I find it’s ridiculous how much they charge for a head of cabbage

    Not my type of book I’m afraid but one of my sons would love this as he’s very much into healthy foods, even weighs out each bit of produce for his meals.
