The world of technology is an incredible world. I mean….who would’ve imagined that we’d be able to send a message across the world in less than 5 seconds? Or be able to have a talking map in our vehicle that gives us exact directions to our location? Or print in 3-D? The world is continually changing, and technology seems to be ever-advancing and improving!! But what about you or your kids – have you ever wondered what some of the secrets behind all the latest gadgets, buildings or technologies are? I mean…how does this stuff really work??
Super Cool Tech from DK Canada is a ‘super cool book’ that reveals some of these secrets. Just lift the unique laptop-inspired cover and you’ll be able to learn about some of the greatest architectural secrets from around the world, as well as many other modern technologies. We were very intrigued by the Hydropolis Underwater Hotel and Resort! I’m not sure I’d like to ‘live’ underwater, but what an amazing and unique idea…and I have to admit – I’m curious as to how they built it and what their secrets were to make it work! In addition to learning about some existing super cool technologies, you’ll also be able to be inspired by some of the amazing possibilities of the future….anyone want a flying car? Or what about teleportation? My husband and son are giving the teleportation idea a double thumbs up! 😉
Super Cool Tech is filled with photos and images. This builds your understanding of what the book is talking about and also captures your attention and the attention of kids. My 10-year-old son thoroughly enjoyed reading Super Cool Tech. He had plenty of times when he just HAD to show me about a new invention someone was hoping to create, or about some amazing already existing technology. Super Cool Tech is a really fun book, as well as an educational book. It’s a great addition to the bookshelf and I’m sure we’ll be reading it more than once in the next while!
DK Canada is giving one of our readers a copy of Super Cool Tech. In order to enter please follow the instructions on the form below. Open to Canada only. Contest ends March 20, 2017
