Coast to Coast Coffee ~ Discount

As parents of young kids, coffee has become an absolute must for both my husband and I. We switched from a Keurig to a good old drip coffee maker before christmas. Now that we are making a half pot in the morning and another in the afternoon before my husband goes to work, we are finding we may be drinking….”a little more” coffee than when we had the Keurig. My husbands uncle roasts his own coffee, its a pretty neat process to watch but we prefer not to roast our own and just buy ours already roasted and grind it ourselves. We are not coffee connoisseurs by any means, especially not me, I’m happy if it gives me a boost and doesn’t taste like…dirty socks! We do have a few specifics though, he likes a dark roast, I like a light to medium roast and we both like it strong!

There have been a few “close calls” where we have almost run out of coffee beans in our house and let me tell you its not a good scene! Luckily for us living in the city its never far to a grocery store but there its hard to know how recently it has been roasted…  Enter Coast to coast Coffee, a coffee roaster located in Toronto and shipping fresh roasted coffee across Canada. The experts say that coffee starts to go stale within days of being roasted,  due to oxidation that causes that bitterness we’ve all experienced with bad coffee. I used to hate the bitterness of coffee as a teen and could only drink it with lot of cream and sugar, over the years I’ve grown used to the bitterness and only use a little milk and stevia in it. On their website Coast to coast offers tips and advice on making a better cup of coffee, one of those tips is to try a cup of fresh roasted coffee, black. I tried this and was pleasantly surprised at the natural sweetness and lack of bitterness.

Cost to coast is committed to providing everyone with a better cup of joe, they offer coffee subscriptions where they mail fresh roasted coffee right to your door! Coffee is shipped the same day it is roasted to ensure optimum freshness! They offer weekly, bi-monthly and monthly subscriptions as well as one time orders. I have become a fan of online shopping and getting things shipped to my door in recent years because we all know how challenging it can be to run errands with several kids in tow, not to mention that lovely season of winter that always likes to keep us guessing! I am always forgetting things during the day and remembering them in the middle of the night, this is another reason online shopping appeals so I can order at midnight or 3 am if I like at I’m not disturbing anyone else! A coffee subscription well that just the bees-knees … or should I say its just the cream in my coffee to me!!

Coast to coast offers 5 single origin coffees to experience how flavour profiles differ based on where in the world they are grown. They also offer several blends with great Canadian inspired names all are organic and fair trade certified coffees! We were really impressed with the 2 single origin and the 2 blends that we tried!

  1. I find there is nothing better then that first cup of coffee! We too grind our beans so I will be checking this company out!

  2. A coffee subscription is such a great idea! Would make a nice present to a coffee-loving friend or family member 🙂

Coffee is a necessity as far as I’m concerned. The very worst thing about going for blood tests is when they tell me I can’t eat or drink, when I mention I might well be grumpy if I can’t drink they always suggest water which apparently I could drink but honestly that’s not going to replace my coffee now is it?

  4. There’s nothing I enjoy more than my delicious morning coffee. This subscription is right up my alley.
