LEGO ~ Let’s Get Building! ~ GIVEAWAY!

Creating is (by far!) one of the activities that our kids love the most. Whether they are creating a piece of artwork, making up their own recipes, building a raft out of wood and nails or coming up with the biggest Lego city so far, the fact is that they love to create. Hands-on activities that encourage creativity are fabulous for kids (and grown-ups! *wink*) or all ages.

This spring is like any other – in between all the puddle jumping we’ve been doing plenty of creating. One of the kids’ favorite ways to get creative is with LEGO….the toy that has stood the test of time…one of the few toys that I know will be played with for years and years….and then handed down to the grandkids someday. With Easter just around the corner, LEGO is a great idea to add to those baskets of goodies this spring. It’s just the thing to keep little hands busy and little minds creating! Let’s take a peek at a few ideas…

Moana’s Island Adventure is perfect for girls (though I must say that my son was right in there with his sisters checking out the hidden treasure in the waterfall and the new colors of gemstones!) This set is based off of the Disney movie, but even if your kids haven’t seen the movie, it is still a lot of fun to play with! It’s all about island life with Moana and her pet pig, Pua. The cave area has drums, a palm tree and that special waterfall. Your island life wouldn’t be complete with out some island food! The set comes with a banana, coconut bowl, pineapple and 2 fish. Moana’s Island Adventure is the perfect way to take a break from the daily grind and enjoy a tropical paradise for an hour or two.

All of our kids love the Lego City sets….those are favorites across the board at our house and the Lego City 4×4 with Catamaran was no exception. This kind of set is popular with the 10 year old right on down to the 2 year old (who can’t build it, but sure enjoys driving it around!) With this set you’re ready for an adventure on the water in the catamaran boat!

As we’ve come to expect with our Lego sets, everything is included to make sure that you and your minifigures will have an awesome adventure. The catamaran boat has a sail, dual rudders and can be loaded up easily onto the detachable trailer. The 4×4 truck takes your boat anywhere you want to go. You can even practice proper boat safety with the two life vests that are included. 😉

Both of these sets are great ones to hand out as spring or Easter goodies this year. Or, if you want to keep browsing for the perfect set, be sure to check out the Lego website!
