Do you have any dreamers in your house? I’ll admit that oftentimes….I’m still a dreamer. 😉 The dreams I dream about these days are different from the ones I used to dream when I was younger, but they’re still dreams and they still bring out the creative side and get me excited about the possibilities. Our kids are dreamers too….I love catching them dreaming about someday working for the Lego company, or dreaming about coming summer days of riding bikes, wearing shorts and going on family vacations together. I love seeing them dream up impossible ideas…creative ideas…unique ideas!
Happy Dreamer by Peter H Reynolds is a great book for the little dreamer(s) in your home! It’s a Canadian title that gives us a taste of what happy dreams are like. This book is a great way to celebrate the moments between ‘sitting still, washing behind your ears and coloring inside the lines.’ It celebrates those moments when you are free to dream big and tap into the creative individual you were made to be. Personally, we found the book to be centered a little too much on how dreams can make you happy…but overall, I do understand the message they are trying to portray and do appreciate (despite my sometimes overly analytical brain. 😉 ).
This book falls into the inspirational category and makes a fun gift idea for all sorts of milestones (new baby, graduations, and more). It’s time to start dreaming!
Scholastic is giving away THREE Happy Dreamer prize packs! Each pack includes a copy of the book, a coloring poster, and a button! In order to be one of these happy winners please follow the instructions on the form below. Open to Canada only. Contest ends April 17, 2017.
