Pure Anada ~ Gorgeous Natural Skin Care!

I have searched and searched for an affordable natural skin care/make up company that I like. I have found it!! Except I don’t just like Pure AnadaLOVE it! 🙂

First of all, I have to confess that I am not one of those naturally talented women that can apply make up and look like a model. My sister got all of the talent in that area. 😉  I am just a mom that has about five to ten minutes per day to throw on some make up in hopes of covering up the fact that I have been averaging four hours of sleep a night since 2008. Ha!

I am all about enhancing my own features and aiming to look like I am not wearing make up while wearing make up. 😉

Pure Anada sent me this amazing package of goodies to try out.  I almost cried I was so excited!  Here is a list of the awesomeness they sent me: Calming Cleanser in Lavender & Chamomile, Daily Moisturizer in Green Tea & Grapeseed, Sheer Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Very Fair, Berry Bliss Lip Shine, Vegan Make up Brush Set, Personal Magnetic Compact, Mineral Blush in Sweet Pea, Mineral Eye Colour in Whisper, Mineral Eye Colour in Dove, Natural Mineral Foundation in Atlantic Bisque and Natural Mascara in Black. Pretty much everything I would use on a daily basis! I am still so thankful for all of these products because I can honestly say that I love them all! (Spoiler alert! My favourite is the mascara!! )

Alright, lets start with some info on Pure Anada.  The more I read about this company the further I fell in love with it. 😉  These products are Canadian made in Manitoba, they are cruelty free, free from toxic ingredients and are created from ingredients that are ethically sourced. Every single one of those points are incredibly important to me and I am assuming that anyone with a passion for using natural and healthy products will feel the same. You can read Candace’s story here.  She is the founder of Pure Anada.

Ok, lets chat about these products. 🙂

My skin is picky about cleansers. I’ve got this dry sensitive skin that likes to have a freak out if I use the “wrong” cleanser.  Enter Pure Anada’s Calming Cleanser in Lavender and Chamomile. My face loves it and the fragrance is beautiful. When I looked up the ingredients in this cleanser I found that Pura Anada uses a natural preservative which eases my mind as many preservatives out there are bad news for our health! Most cleansers have ingredient lists that cover most of the back label of the bottle.  This one has like eight ingredients! Two of which are the lavender and chamomile. 🙂

Recently I have been using coconut oil as a facial moisturizer. Hey, that stuff is good for all sorts of things! I may have to switch over to Pure Anada’s Daily Moisturizer in Green Tea and Grapeseed.  It is so light and refreshing with a fresh scent. It gets its scent from neroli oil….and for those of you who don’t know, neroli are the flowers from an orange tree. Who doesn’t like the fresh smell of a juicy orange?  Also included in this moisturizer is aloe, argan oil, cucumber and green tea.  Like I said before, I struggle with dry skin.  Since using this moisturizer I haven’t had any issues with dry patches. Hooray!

Now onto the makeup. Some days I use the Sheer Radiant Tinted Moisturizer instead of the Daily Moisturizer. On the days that I use the Daily Moisturizer I use the Natural Mineral Foundation.  Some days I feel like going all out and use the tinted moisturizer AND the mineral foundation. 😉 (So many options!)

Not only does the Sheer Radiant Tinted Moisturizer make my skin look great it includes organic rosehip and pomegranate oils to give my skin a boost of essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It comes in a handy pump so it’s easy to apply and you don’t end up wasting product due to the over squeezing of a tube.  I can’t be the only person who does that!

I never thought I would be a powder foundation kind of gal.  And here I am loving this Natural Mineral Foundation. 😉 It is so light and easy to apply.  I just sweep the brush all over my face and voila! It gives me some coverage and evens out my face without a “cakey” look. I learned from Pure Anada that the mineral foundation does not even require a preservative due to the minerals used being inert and therefore will not grow bacteria. Who knew!?  This foundation has titanium dioxide which will reflect the sun’s rays and prevent those painful sunburns and silica which helps to blur fine lines.

Next up is the blush/cheek colour. Before I gush about the cheek colour I have to mention that the Vegan Make Up Brush Set is excellent. The bristles are so soft and the handles are eco-friendly bamboo. The brushes come in a handy pouch with a zippered compartment that pretty much fits everything I need for my daily regime.

Alright, back to the Pressed Mineral Blush/Cheek Colour.  The colour Pure Anada sent me is perfect for everyday use. It is called Sweet Pea and it’s soft and pretty.  The mineral cheek colour contains jojoba oil which has antioxidants that fight the signs of ageing. I am all for ageing but I really miss my twentysomething wrinkle free skin. Heh heh.

In order to get the best use of Pure Anada’s cheek colours and eye colours you will need your own compact.  The compact is magnetic so you can easily change out cheek and eye colours. I love this as it reduces waste ending up in the garbage dump. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle I always say.  Actually, I never say that…..but I digress……

I have my two Pressed Mineral Eye Colours in my compact. I am excited to one day add a few more colours to play with. 🙂  The colours I have been using are Dove and Whisper.  Both are great for everyday; they’re subtle but still add something extra. Similar to the cheek colour the eye colours contain jojoba oil.

I am a lip balm addict.  I don’t usually wear lip colour.  I find that it just ends up on my toddler’s cheek or on my travel mug rim.  Haha.  The Berry Bliss Lip Shine gives my lips some shine and colour but is also suitable for a trip to the grocery store.  It is very moisturizing due to the castor seed oil, raspberry seed oil, jojoba oil and shea butter. That helps ease the lip balm addict in me.

Last but not least is the Natural Mascara.  I am crazy about this mascara.  I have been using mascara since my teenage years and have never truly found a mascara that I love…..and now I have. 🙂  The brush is awesome.  It curves perfectly to my lashes.  There aren’t any clumping issues and my lashes look longer and plumper. AND it’s a natural mascara! I am not applying toxins to my eyes. I am giddy over this mascara. Most mascaras have a long list of weird chemicals as ingredients.  Pure Anada’s mascara has things like rice bran wax, olive oil and candelilla wax. It’s like a dream come true. 😉

To wrap it all up I will mention that Pure Anada also has men’s products, nail products, body products and skincare.  I am quite certain you will find whatever you need from this store!

  1. These sound like lovely products! I am keen to try them as I like to support ethical, and Canadian, companies.

  2. Elizabeth Matthiesen says:

Wow, these products sound amazing. One of my daughters has to be very careful of what she puts on her skin, it sounds like these can be used for sensitive skin too. Love the fact that the firm is from the Prairies too. 🙂

  3. Laurie P says:

I want to try the daily moisturizer, sounds lovely!

  4. Thanks so much for this review! I have been eyeing the pressed shadows, and this review along with another that swatched the colours has pushed me over the edge to buy them. It’s an investment for me. They are such pretty and highly pigmented colours that I’m excited to get these esp. having the peace of mind that I will have more natural products next to my eyes.

  5. Lydia Fredin says:

Definetly going to place an order

  6. Elizabeth Matthiesen says:

I haven’t had chance to talk to my daughter yet and they’ve been camping this weekend. Last year whilst camping May Long they woke up to 5 cm of snow! This year it was marvellous weather, abnormal for AB I’d say.
