Scholastic Monday ~ I Am Canada ~ GIVEAWAY!

As we were considering our holidays for the upcoming summer we thought of a few different ideas….travelling overseas to a resort of some sort, or perhaps we’d just go across the border and visit some places in the USA…or we could stay in Canada and explore our country. We settled on the last one and I’m thrilled about it. The fact is that I truly LOVE Canada. I love the diversity of our country and our land. I love that we can visit the ocean, the mountains, the prairies and so much more without ever having to leave our country.

It’s not good enough for just ME to admire, enjoy and love our country though – I want our kids to ‘fall in love’ with Canada too. We haven’t been able to take them to visit many of the fabulous Canadian places in person yet, but we’ve been getting a taste of them through reading I Am Canada: A Celebration by Heather Patterson. This book is an amazing tribute to our nation and it’s children. It takes you from coast to coast and is beautifully illustrated by 13 different and very talented artists.

I Am Canada: A Celebration can even be enjoyed by young children. With its short, simple text, it proved itself to be just right for our 2 year old son and even our older kids popped their heads over the couch to listen in! 😉

This book has had a re-do and has had it just in time to help us celebrate both Canada’s 150th year as well as Scholastic Canada’s 60th anniversary. It’s a big year and we can’t wait to celebrate, so to kick things off, let’s give away a couple of copies of I Am Canada k to our super-awesome readers!!

Scholastic Canada is giving away THREE copies of I Am Canada to our readers! In order to enter please follow the instructions on the form below. Open to Canada only. Contest ends June 19, 2017.
