Hokey Pokey Face Paint Fun! ~ Discount!

Face painting is one of those ‘treats’ that kids usually get done once or twice a year. Usually at a local fair…or at a children’s event of some sort. The thing is that most kids love getting their faces painted – or if not their face they enjoy a little painting on their hand or arm. However, you look at it, face painting is a treat that is a lot of fun!

This summer, our oldest daughter has jumped into the world of face/cheek/arm painting! She is a natural and it came easily to her. Most days now she will practice on her siblings and we’ve seen everything from a kitty cat, a snake, a spider, an apple and many more of her own original creations. In fact, she’s looking forward to the possibility of starting a little face painting business for young children’s birthday parties. I love it. I love seeing our children find something they love, learn to do it and then thrive!

Our first palette of face paints came from a fabulous Canadian company – Hokey Pokey. The Hokey Pokey Shop has all kinds of great, quality products to browse through including glitter tattoos, twisting balloons, craft supplies, DIY kits and of course everything you need to get started in the world of Face Paint.

We started out with the DFX Small Essential 12 Color Palette and two little packets of glitter. This mini palette has the 12 essential colors you’ll need. There are 6 grams of each color as well as 2 DiamondFX brushes.

Both the paints and the brushes are of professional quality – which makes face painting SO much easier. We tried a few non-professional brushes and there was a BIG difference in how well we were able to paint. The DiamondFX face paint is really professional water-based make-up and it has vivid colors that are gorgeous. As you can see in the image of the football even white can be easily painted over top of other colors while still keeping its bright, beautiful color!

The DiamondFX 12 Color Palette is perfect for beginners. It’s small enough to tuck into a purse or bag easily and is VERY easy to use. Although price is $39.99 for this kit and although that may seem a bit steep at first glance, it will do 100-300 applications per palette! We haven’t painted quite that many faces yet, but I can definitely see that it will last a long time as we’ve barely made a dip in the paints yet and we’ve used it at least 20-30 times already.

The I was VERY impressed with the quality of our products from Hokey Pokey and I’m fairly certain we’ll be back again to purchase more great face painting products in the future!

Our grandchildren love getting their faces painted. In face a lady and her daughter who own a grocery store not far from me, they paint their faces for all the holidays so guess you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy it.
