Scholastic Monday ~ Our Song, The Story of O Canada

‘O Canada.’ The song of our country…the song of our nation. This is a song that is forever embedded in me….and I hope it will be a song that our children will proudly know and sing as well. After all, our country is amazing, and our national anthem is a great picture of what Canada is.

Scholastic Canada has a book that we’ve been proud to add to our bookshelf. Our Song: The Story of “O Canada” by Peter Kuitenbrouwer is a great way to make our national anthem come ‘alive’ for our children. The book features “O Canada” line by line, in both official languages, and it is also accompanied by sheet music.

The fact that it is Canada’s 150th Birthday this year, makes it an EXTRA great reason to add this book to your home and to help you and your children celebrate Canada, our history and the song that makes us the “true north strong and free!”
