DK Discovery Day~ Seashore ~ GIVEAWAY!

Anyone headed to the seashore this summer? Or even just dreaming about the seashore? πŸ˜‰ It’s an amazing place with much to see, enjoy and learn. The birds, the seashells, the waves and the tide are just a few of the things that I intend to learn more about with our kids when we visit the seashore someday.

For now….we’re content visiting lakes and beaches along the lakes. We still find shells….but they’re snail shells. *wink* Since we aren’t able to visit the seashore this summer, we’re doing the next best thing – learning about it by reading. One of our favorites has been Seashore from DK Canada.

DK Canada’s books are always packed full of facts – and not just “any ol’ facts” either. They are interesting, unique and fun facts. I love it….and best of all…the kids love it! My oldest son picked up this book and read the entire thing for FUN when it arrived at our home. πŸ™‚

Seashore is a great book for curious, young explorers. What shapes the shore? Do you know what a rock pool is? Or what causes the tides? It’s the perfect book to help kids…and families dive into the world of tides, seashells and nature. The book also has some fun activities/experiments for kids to try to encourage some hands-on learning too. They are both fun and easy to do – like making and testing a paper boat. That one was a fun one for all our kids – ages 2 to 10, boys and girls!

Seashore is a great book to add to your bookshelf, to take along with you to the shore, or to take on a long road trip, or even to read and enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

WIN IT!

One of our readers is going to win their own copy of Seashore! In order to enter please follow the instructions on the form below. Open to Canada only. Contest ends July 24, 2017.
