Scholastic Monday ~ Plankton is Pushy

Today it is time for us to introduce: Plankton and Mussel. 🙂 Do they sound like some friends that your kids would like to meet? Well, Scholastic Canada is where Plankton and Mussel come from…in the form of a great story written by Jonathan Fenske.

Plankton is Pushy by Jonathan Fenske is one of those books that is a LOT of fun. It’s one of those laugh-out-loud types of books. As you turn to the first page in the story, Plankton says hello to Mussel, but Mussel doesn’t say anything back. This doesn’t sit well with Plankton so he tries everything to get this very quiet Mussel to talk. Nothing works! Plankton is now officially frustrated with Mussel. And here’s where the story gets extra good…Mussell finally decides to open his mouth…what do you think happens?? You’ll have to grab a copy of this fun book to find out. 😉

Plankton is Pushy is a great book for kids and is enjoyable to read out loud. The humor adds a lot to this underwater story and it has a few great moral lessons hidden in the book as well.
