Scholastic Monday ~ Thank You Canada!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian readers! It’s great to practice being thankful every day, but today is a special day that we get to spend a little extra time being thankful. 🙂

As we’ve celebrated all the things we are thankful for this weekend, one thing that came to my mind was that I am thankful for our wonderful country. Canada is amazing and I feel blessed to be a part of such a great country. Scholastic has a great title to go along with being thankful for our country. “Thank You, Canada” by Andrea Lynn Beck is a book that reminds us of the a great list of reasons that we should be thankful when it comes to our country. It’s a great way to help kids remember to be thankful for things such as Canada’s wide open spaces to explore and imagine in, and for nature, places with silly names (like the town of “Love”!) and so much more.

Thank You, Canada has fun rhyming text throughout the book s well as lots of beautiful artwork to help further capture the many reasons that we should say “Thank you, Canada!”

I like the message that this book is imparting to young readers. So far I’ve not met anyone who doesn’t love Canada. 🙂

  9. Elizabeth Matthiesen says:

“So far I’ve not met anyone who doesn’t love Canada” I said in my last comment that’s only true if they don’t come in the middle of winter or like skiing! I met Australians on the plane to Australia and they come every single year to ski and snowboard in BC. 🙂
