DK Discovery Day ~ World History ~ GIVEAWAY

Here’s a little secret that you may not have known about me….when I was in high school one of my favorite subjects was history. I loved it. I still love it. These days I’ve moved into the position of teaching our own children history….and I love finding ways to bring history to life and help them see the turning points throughout the ages and more.

Now….a World History textbook might not sound like the kind of thing that would bring history to life…and for the younger ones, you probably will need to add some ‘extras’ to keep their attention span. However, we DK Canada has a fabulous World History book that will work well for older children and definitely for adults! It is a great way to discover the events that have shaped our world into what it is today. This book takes you right from prehistoric civilization right up until the digital age.

The book has lots of photographs, maps, paintings, etc. that help us “see” history as we read through the book.

DK Canada’s World History book has more than 350 of history’s most important events in it. It includes key thinkers, leaders, inventions, and even takes time to explore and talk about things such as technological advances and military campaigns. Of course, there’s way more history in this great book than I can tell you about here. You’ll just have to read it yourself and learn the amazing stories of history with your own families. 🙂

WIN IT!

DK Canada is giving one of our readers the gift of this amazing World History book! In order to enter please follow the instructions on the form below. Open to Canada only. Contest ends December 18, 2017.
