Wipe Away Those Sweet Tears ~ Baby Alive

One of the truths of motherhood is that sick babies need a lot of love. Usually when I have a sick little one I try my hardest to soak up the extra snuggles as much as I can and love on them a little extra to help them bounce back. One thing I have noticed is that my children – both boys and girls – have loved to watch and mimic my motherly actions with their own baby dolls. We have loved using our Baby Alive dolls in the past for our kids to ‘pretend’ with. They are fabulous dolls that, well, really act like they are “alive” in many ways. Most recently we’ve been practicing caring for a very sweet, but sick baby doll – the Baby Alive Sweet Tears Baby Doll.

This doll is the perfect baby for kids to nurse back to health. She cries real tears that “mommy” or “daddy” can wipe away. I immediately fell in love with her face – it moves like a real baby with very real-looking expressions and her little nose lights up to red when she needs her tissue. She has 35 plus phrases and sounds that can be spoken in either English or Spanish and to either Mommy or Daddy. You might be wondering where her tears come from though… The Sweet Tears Baby doll has a “juice” box that you fill with water and feed her with. This produces those tears that your child will be able to gently wipe away. She comes with a few other accessories too like a stethoscope, thermometer, a reusable tissue, “juice” box, bandage and hair brush.

The doll was easy for little hands to “doctor” and care for. I am certain that she will be receiving a lot of care, attention, love and “doctoring” in the coming days, weeks and months!

The Baby Alive Sweet Tears doll is a great doll in the Baby Alive line-up and it’s a great way to help your children learn to be gentle and nurture a baby. There’s all kinds of pretend and imaginative play that is possible with the Sweet Tears Baby doll. Kids will be able to pretend to be a mommy or daddy as they take her temperature, check her eyes and ears, listen to her heart and of course, wrap up the “ouchies” with the bandage. Some of the best medicine out there is tender love and care. πŸ™‚
