Klutz Kits Equal Great Gifts ~ GIVEAWAY! (2 Winners!)

Giving gifts is a special part of the Christmas season. But let’s be honest…it can also be a very costly part of the Christmas season.  This is one of the reasons that our family has changed our gift giving tactics a bit…we love to give gifts that are either handmade by us or our children (these are some of the gifts that loved ones often treasure the most!) or, we also love to give gifts that come with an experience. That means…it’s not just another stuffed animal – but it also allows our child the experience of making and designing it themselves.

One of our favorite places to find gifts like this are from Scholastic’s line of Klutz kits. These kits have both play value and the value of a child being able to create their own projects, or, even better – they allow your child to create a precious, one-of-a-kind gift to give away to someone. Handmade gifts from children are the kind of thing that parents, grandparents, etc. will treasure and proudly display in their homes.

So let’s take a peek at some of the goodies from Klutz…first up is the Klutz Punch Yarn Pillow kit. This one was a favorite in our home and the girls are “hooked” on pillow creating now and have plans to make several more Punch Yarn Pillows yet this month!

The Punch Yarn Pillow Kit comes with everything needed for your child to create their own super soft, decorative pillow. There are 8 different designs to choose from and the included book has clear, easy to follow instructions. It is geared towards kids ages 10 and up. With a little help from a parent, our 7 and 9 year old girls actually were able to really enjoy this kit as well. In fact, once they got going, they were able to mostly complete the project on their own. We absolutely LOVED this kit and would definitely say it is a gift worth giving and a gift worth getting.

Here’s another fun one…the Klutz Stitch and Style Pouches. This fun little kit gives your kids the opportunity to stitch and style seven felt pouches (with 20 designs in total that they can choose from). Each pouch has either a zipper or button closure and, as you can see from a few ideas on the left, the designs are adorable! These little pouches are perfect for storing your small treasures, earbuds, coins, and more. They can attach to your backpack or lunch bag…the possibilities are endless for what these fun little pouches can be used for. I’ve found that this type of activity is great for help kids get a start on some sewing skills and also is great for improving fine motor skills overall.

Now….what about germs? Yes….you read that right. Germs. What does that have to do with gift giving and getting crafty and creative? Well, it has a lot to do with it when you get to create your own charming soaps…which make washing those germs off your hands a whole lot more enjoyable. 😉 The Klutz Make Your Own Soap kit makes soap-making incredibly easy. It literally took us only a few minutes to make our soaps.

I always thought that making soap would be time-consuming and difficult, but this kit has proven me wrong. 🙂 Make Your Own Soap has everything you need to make up to 10 soaps. There are soap molds, color tablets, soap base, cosmetic grade glitter, papaya fragrance, skin-safe soap stickers and some more fun “extras” to make these soaps really stand out.

Klutz has LOTS more of amazing gift ideas for the holiday season – and for year-round gifts and crafts! Klutz kits are the perfect way to learn a new skill, to get crafty or to create some amazing gifts with. Parents, you will love them too because everything is there and the instructions are so easy and clear to follow that you likely will not need to offer much (if any) assistance and it gives your kids the confidence to know that they CAN create amazing crafts, projects and gifts (mostly 😉 ) on their own!

TWO of our readers will each with a gift pack with all 3 of the above Klutz Kits!! In order to enter please follow the instructions on the form below. Open to Canada only. Contest ends December 18, 2017.
