Ello Products! Three Purty Mugs! ~Giveaway!

I carry a water bottle with me wherever I go. It never fails, that if I don’t have one, I’m absolutely dying of thirst! Why does it work that way? Like really, I’m just going to town to get groceries. Just because I don’t have a water bottle along doesn’t mean I need an immediate thirst quencher! I think it’s just my brain trying to get the best of me! Ha!

Anyway, I’ve been watching for new water bottles of late. It seemed that mine had gotten rather banged up, lids were broken, you know how it goes! I was really partial to water bottles with straws in them – it’s much easier to drive straight down the road when drinking through a straw than when tipping a water bottle up to take a drink! However, they’re scarcer than they ought to be. So one day when I was at Costco I saw these beauties. They are made by Ello and are called Syndicate. They are packaged in a two-pack, are very reasonably priced, and are glass! Nope, no straw, but the lid pops open at the push of a button and the hole at the top is actually a very nice size – not so large that you spill when you drive over a bump, but not so small that it takes forever to get a decent drink. The lid even has a lock to prevent accidental openings! Oh, and the inside of the lid has this nice big silicone button to prevent leakage – and it works! I have yet to have a leak!

Since I liked these Syndicate water bottles so much, I decided to contact Ello to see about reviewing another of their products. They have a bunch of super neat travel mugs, water bottles, and tumblers. And they have a bunch that are colourful, which always adds extra fun! They have quite a number of products that are not on their website at the moment, as it’s undergoing a bit of an overhaul. However, you can see them on their Amazon page!

Ello was extremely generous and sent me three different products to test! First up is the Devon. I’m loving this tumbler for water! First – it has a straw! Yay! I actually swapped out the plastic straw it came with and put in a glass one that I had. I love the silicone sleeve – it’s saved me from tipping it over multiple times! And it’s glass. No unappealing flavours are being added to my water. The lid is also beautiful – it’s wood with a silicone seal. There’s also a silicone seal around straw hole. Now since the lid is just friction-fit, if you turned this tumbler upside down and shook it, you’d have water everywhere. But for almost-tipped-over experience, it works like a dream to prevent any water from escaping. It also comes in four purty colours – Coral, Denim, Grey, and Mint.

Next, I received Jane. She is beautiful in her classy white ceramic mug-ness and then has a lovely pop of colour in it’s silicone base and lid. I’m really impressed with the lid. It just has a simple slider opening, yet it works well and does a pretty good job of sealing. It’s also got a nice big handle to hold on to. It may not fit in all vehicle cup holders though, even though it is a travel mug. It definitely has a larger base to it. Not to worry, our van has two nice large ones at the front, so I’m good! I love the heft of this mug – and it’s such a nice classic ceramic look. And super easy to clean!

Lastly, the one I just might have gotten the most use out of – Mr. Parson! Again, it is a travel mug and I *love* it! It’s stainless steel, has a silicone sleeve for extra grippiness. It has a superb 360 degree lid which works superbly! Turn it all the way to the right to tighten the lid on. Once tight, turn it back to the left to a max of about 1/8th of a turn, and your lid is open and ready to drink from! The only downside I’ve found to it is that, since the opening is closer to the center of the lid, sometimes it seems like my drink isn’t coming, isn’t coming, isn’t coming, then suddenly I’m impatient and end up with hot liquid spilling over and I get more than I intend. I’m sure that’s mostly user error though! I’ve taken this mug along with me in my bag full of stuff several times and have yet to have a leak of any sort. Also, because it’s slim and doesn’t have a handle, it packs in a bag really nicely for when you feel the need for a cup of tea or coffee!

Oh, and another great thing about Ello is that they also provide replacement parts! Yay for not being just another throw-away company! At the moment they have 5 different replacement lids available for their customers.

I’m so impressed with all of the products I’ve tried thus far from Ello! They’re all well made, they’re sturdy, I love the pop of colour that the silicone gives them, they’re stainless steel and glass for the most part, which I think are two of the safest products to drink from! And they’re unique! That totally rates extra points in my books! Head over to Facebook and say hi! And follow them on Instagram – there’s lots of fun pics there too! You can also follow them on Twitter!

You can purchase any of their products from their website. Hopefully these products will show up again soon! Otherwise, head over to Amazon and check out their products there! Most of their mugs range from $15-25 CAD, so are quite reasonably priced, considering their glass and stainless steel! Or take a look at Costco next time you’re wandering through, you just might find the Syndicate water bottles!

Ello is also going to be extremely generous to our readers! One lucky reader is going to win ALL THREE of the products that I reviewed (Colour may vary)! Yay for an overhaul to your travel mug, water jug, and ceramic mug collection! Please use the entry from below, open to Canadians and the US. Contest closes January 2, 2018!
